WoCoVa…World Congress on Vascular Access 2010

Greetings from Amsterdam, The Netherlands!! Today is the first day of First World Congress on Vascular Access three day congress.  It is a beautiful day in Amsterdam and I am so honored to be here with other health care professionals involved in vascular access from 35 countries.

The three day congress will include a scientific program, workshops, educational courses, satellite symposia and posters sessions. Discussion will focus on the issues of safety, cost effectiveness and efficiency of vascular access, as well as on the need for world-shared guidelines for clinical practice, each congress day has a focus on a specific topic.

Day 1: Wednesday 16th June 2010: Peripherally inserted central catheters
Day 2: Thursday 17th June 2010: Risk management in venous access
Day 3: Friday 18th June 2010: Implanted access ports

I am so excited to be here and will be looking forward to learning from the multi disciplinary colleagues attending from other countries.
