In case you missed it just like I did, spare a few minutes and watch this short video on how a 15 year old freshman in high school developed a paper sensor that could detect pancreatic, ovarian and lung cancer in five minutes for as little as 3 cents.
There is hope in the future. It is so inspiring and encouraging for a nurse who treat cancer patients to see a young one like him take interest in a disease that affects so many lives, families and costly to treat. Early detection is the best prevention.
Don’t forget this kid’s name…Jack Andraka….he may be the next Einstein!
SO HOW CAN I GET AHOLD OF ONE OF THESE PAPER SENSORS?
I don’t think it’s commercially available yet but hopefully soon! Thanks for your comment!
